•Air Rescue Systems was formed as a separate company in February 2007. It emerged after 15 years as a division of Brim Aviation where our pilots and highly trained aircrews carried out missions for a wide range of clients and provided training a number of government agencies and other specialists from across America.
-
•For some time, the founders of ARS believed that the market for specialized training and equipment in the world of helicopter borne operations was being poorly met. Too often equipment seemed to be pulled together in an arbitrary and unsafe way jeopardizing both the mission and the lives of those using the gear. At the same time, training lacked standardization.
-
•ARS was set up to meet both these gaps. First, two years ago we set out to design the best components and create a standardized system offered at an affordable price. This meant redesigning the equipment we use on every mission including hard and software, analyzing different mission profiles and blending function with ease of use and safety.
-
•We then approached a number of manufacturers to see what they could do to build to our design. A rigorous ‘test to fail” process followed because we know, as you do, that our lives depend on the equipment we sell. If we don’t trust it, then why would you. We have tested and used every single piece of gear that we sell. The result is what we consider to be the very best helicopter rescue and insertion/extraction systems available anywhere in the world.
-
•Second, we asked our operators, both those on our staff and those we have worked with over the years to create a ‘wish list’ of what they would like to have known before that first mission. We then sought input about past experiences they had had and what they would like to have learned through quality training prior to the first mission.
-
•The result is the ARS Training Package, a comprehensive course of modules that together create the best trained people for demanding helicopter operations.
-
•And, of course, because it’s so important to remain closely in touch with the world of response, ARS also carries out operations on behalf of clients across a wide range of mission profiles. We operate for both public and private agencies on varying projects. We will always provide the best equipment, training and response to meet the needs of today’s ever changing environment.
